• Friday, 23rd. November, 2012 Called in on spec today and was completely and utterly blown away! To say our meals were simply stunning would be the understatement of the Century! In all truth, I don't think I've ever been more impressed with an entire meal in all my life (and I'm in my sixties now) I had the Steak & Ale pie with mushrooms which quite simply, has NO EQUAL! Where those flavours came from God only knows but each and EVERY mouthful was divine! I don't have the words (which for me is unheard of) to do the meal justice. How can I convey to you the reader, the explosion of taste that awaited me? I almost felt I had to lodge a complaint to the Management because from now on no meal can come anywhere near the flavours and tastes experienced today! Stunning, simply stunning! My dear wife tried the Hickory Smoked BBQ Chicken which she reckons was utterly superb also. If you're EVER thinking of trying somewhere and happen to be near this pub, then please try this place. I guarantee that you won't regret it. It has to be one of the best meals I've ever had BAR NONE! I can't think of any more superlatives that I could use other than quite simply GORGEOUS! Ten out of Ten and If I could award a higher mark than that, believe me I would. Can't wait to go back and try exactly the same meal again (and again knowing us) Thanks to the amazing staff and obviously, the brilliant chef. I'd love to visit the Pub which could beat you! Sadly, I can only offer you FIVE Stars! In my humble opinion, it would have been higher! A TEN wouldn't be out of the question if permissible! We're already talking about when we can go back and sample it all over again! Well done the Waterford Arms. I salute you.
