  • 1 star reviewstayed here on the 1st september 2012, will never return. rooms basic, was in room 5, shower cubicle dirty, could not get the shower door shut. room was above a tiny bar, the bar had a "singer" on, it was so loud i could not go to bed. no food was available when we arrived at the hotel after a 14 hour trip!! after little sleep was looking forward to breakfast - what a joke, there was 4 of us in this group not one of us could eat the breakfast, eggs not cooked, and full english swimming in grease, so glad to leave a great disappointment.

  • 5 star reviewCalled in for late lunch on my day off from work. Were warmly welcomed+advised of menu available due to sell outs. Meals we ordered were delicious+very generous portions for a very reasonable price. Carvary was very popular. We opted for main menu. Cauliflower soup-sublime. I had chicken romano-delicious hubby had 4 lamb cutlets-perfect! We will be back.x

  • 1 star reviewWhat a dive this place is!! Was disappointed as wanted to try out the 'jewel of the valley'.. Food looked dry and woman in her 40's (god help if she's the owner) could not have been more rude. No wonder it was so quiet. Will stick to where we know and love - the millers in ynystawe, a class above.

  • 1 star reviewYou would have to pay me to go back to this place, called off for lunch on a Saturday, the place smelt like unwashed feet an was dead, when we requested a table for 5, myself my husband and family, the lady that approached us had the look of horror and told us we would have to wait as she was on her own (as if with only one pter cutomer in the restaurant she was busy..) the way she spoke to us was, at best, patronising, at which point we walked out. We thought we would give the place a shot given the adverts on the radio for it (jewell of the valley', obviously their words, I will in future avoid this place at all costs.

  • 3 star reviewTiny bar, massive restaurant. Lovely lady behind the bar, but the atmosphere there is empty. Slightly over priced, but you can't really say that in this day and age can you..? Perfectly situated, a diamond for weddings.
