• Good stock, affordable prices: it's a shame about the customer service. Usually pleasant staff: today admitably I was in a hurry: I didn't think they had what we needed in, but a female shop assistant directed us to the Artist Portfolio folders, which was helpful. I went to the counter and stood waiting to be served: the older male assistant ( who I later found out is the Manager) didn't acknowledge we were there ( my son and I): he was just stood behind the counter; then a lady walked in the shop and began asking for something- he proceeded to have a conversation with that person, and then the female member decided to also assist. The store was empty before, and I was stood waiting to pay for the goods: I asked if anyone was going to serve me: his reply was "hang on someone will be with you in a minute": he was stood by the till. I've shopped at 'The Works' for over 5 years, as I am a Home-Educator and I value the low prices as we purchase a lot of items through the year. Needless to say, I left the folder by the counter, and walked out. I recently bought Art supplies from yourself and spent a reasonable amount on these items: the staff member was lovely at the time, but today I was met with a very different kind of service. The Manager could easily have served me, but he chose to ignore me, and I was stood waiting, not to mention in a hurry. I have been in when it's been busy, and I've been served quicker. I won't be buying anymore supplies from this branch: the Manager was quite rude to be honest. I am rating the stock not the customer service
