  • 1 star reviewTerrible service, we got served by the new manager, who seemed to have absolutely NO customer service skills. First he got annoyed with us cause we didn't know our table number because we were outside, so he served other people before until we knew it, then he stopped serving us when some men came to the bar and said "I'll serve you after as there order isn't as complicated"!? We'd already been stood there 10-15 minutes waiting. Then he got annoyed because we wanted a bottle of wine not a glass. Twe wanted to pay seperately but he tried making my friend pay because he was the man? Then told us to go to "go to our table sit down and not move" like we were kids. So when we went back outside the men he'd served before us were sat on our table. Then the food took over an hour! And they got very confused when we had moved tables even though we were sat right next to the table. Then food was terrible.. I used to come here a lot to eat before the refurb but it has seriously gone down hill. Very disappointed.

  • 1 star reviewWent to this pub for lunch last week. Really annoying waiter kept trying to hurry us up. Tiny jacket potato done in the microwave from start to finish. Can't believe I paid over four pounds for this. Will not go back.

  • 2 star reviewMy rating is based on the food at this pub. This pub very local to me, and my colleagues and I always meet here for food/drink. Most times I have not eaten there, but I recently ordered a pasta dish which was terrible. It was inedible. I left most of it because I couldn't eat it. Very poor. I was very disappointed. The bar staff are always friendly and chatty, but sadly this isn't everything. The pub was very busy that night, and it took a while for us to even be seated as we were a large group. Perhaps this was a one off, hopefully it was. I would not have minded as much if my meal was not almost 10 pounds, but for that much money I expect much, much better. I could eat elsewhere for the same amount and have a much nicer meal.

  • 4 star reviewwed is curry night and a really great night to go if you like curries but it can be a little busy that night. It offers a good choice of dishes for both carnivores and veggies! Mum and I are off there for lunch today and it will be fish & chips. We are salivating already Don't understand the first review and think it is unfair. PS personally I wouldn't go to whiteley's in standford again as I find the standard of food varies and the prices are a bit steep.

  • 1 star reviewwe don't normally go out with my family in a pub but we tried this as everyone was raving about how good the food is, so we tried it. i must admit that the service was ecxellent but the atmosphere and the food was an absolute disgrace. i will never go back there again. if you are looking for a place that offers a very good standard of service and food, you must try whiteley's restaurant in Bordon, they offer everything that anyone is looking for, they've got an indoor play area which is very good for families with small children, they also do carvery on a sunday.
