• Received a competitive quote from David Roden so price wise good. That old saying you get what you pay for. Unfortunately my experience with Mr Roden was not a good one. Due to a family emergency he had to cancel initial date of starting. These things happen and I understand family comes first. After finally starting bathroom was totally stripped out then discovered problem with water damage. I managed to get a tradesman for the following day to do necessary repairs and attempt to not have anymore undue delay on job. I even knocked of tiles myself in effort to help. Job now running behind schedule but when Mr Roden returned on 3rd day he did not appear to be to be in much rush to get on with the job. He then left early stating his phone was not working!!?....received txt following morning saying he was now unwell.......received no contact from him...not kept updated and offered no solution or alternative....left with no bathroom for two weeks now.....when he did say he was fit to resume work he stated he was committed to doing another contract and would fit me in after that.....this was not suitable and given the inconvenience I had been put through he agreed to me looking for alternative tradesmen and return monies which I had paid upfront for materials.....no surprise when I say that I never saw the money again.....I cannot comment on his standard of workmanship as he never got to that all important bit.....I can comment on would i recommend him.....no.....found him to be lacking in good work ethics,unreliable and dishonest with no integrity.......
