"the shady oak is a canal side country pub, with its own moorings, and has a caravan / camp site, that welcomes walkers, boats, children and dogs, we serve home cooked food 7 days a week, mon-sat 12-8.30, sun 1-6pm, we open all day! every day from 12 noon!"

• went to this pub on tues had a great welcome and lovely food with quite large portions staff very friendly,and this is a dog friendly pub excellent.

• the shady oak is now open again!it has been turned back to a traditional country pub, and has a real home made menu with real prices!and welcomes families,walkers,barges etc,so give the new owners a try!you will feel at home with the new look! its very cosy!
