• Sunday lunch today - waited well over an hour for roast chicken, though place not full. No real apology, just "the kitchen is backed up". I asked for coffee at end, but even that took ten minutes tho' the room was empty by then. Paid the bill of £29 - two main courses, three drinks (one beer, one water and one soft drink) and a coffee, taking two hours. No offer of reduction on bill even just for the coffee, no apology. Staff were quite pleasant in a distant sort of way, but inexperienced and a bit out of depth. A little customer relations training would not go amiss, though the 'down under' waitress was very nice. Nice place, but we wont be rushing back. Shame as we liked the old Talbot (in its pre-Wild Garlic days).
