  • 2 star reviewGreenascres caravan park is the most mis managed park i have seen the owner dosent know if he is punched or bored starts something leaves it and moves on, broken fences old broken down shed patchy roads poor however his total disinterested in the residents is evident along with his arrogance bins also overflowing and trailers and materials dumped in the middle of the park all in all no awards due here its like a travellers site.

  • 1 star reviewI would certainly not advise anyone in their right mind to even consider buying a caravan at this place, as the security is non existent, not even a lockable gate at the entrance, anyone can enter and walk or drive round here at will, caravan owners also take second best when it comes to usage of the pub as it is constantly used for private functions, there have been at least 4-5 break-ins here with caravans targeted, garden sheds, even garden ornaments stolen, and that was just in 2013, money is the most important concern to the owners at this place, with caravan owners getting in my opinion a very shabby deal, there are many alternative sites in Ayrshire, and I believe you would be better looking at those ones and save yourself a whole world of grief.

  • 1 star reviewI fully agree with all of these other comments, what was not mentioned was the constant break-ins that happen there, caravans & garden sheds burgled and garden ornaments being stolen, there is absolutely no security whatsoever on site, not even a lockable gate at the entrance, caravan owners do certainly appear to be treated as secondary to having access to the pub whilst there are constant functions taking place there catering for non residents, I have just left this year, and I am glad to be away, I realise now I should have left sooner, I believe there will be a lot of people leaving in 2013, as a lot of folk I know there are fed up with the inequalities on this site, and with the never ending rises in site fees it is not in my opinion good value for money.

  • 1 star reviewHaving stayed here I agree that this place is well overrated there is no entertainment for caravaners as the club is used for private functions u also seem to be paying hotel prices in a second rate club full of underage drinkers j

  • 1 star reviewsandylands caravan site just a couple of miles away would seem a better option and cheaper as well, you have an indoor swimming pool site security,2 clubs with 1 for owners only and lots more in the way of entertainment, having stayed at greenacres caravan park for a lot of years, and just given up this year i would have to agree with a lot of the comments posted here, you certainly do not get good value for money at this resort, the owner probably being the highest paid grass cutter in scotland, as you would struggle to get him to do anything to improve the place.

  • 1 star reviewone of the biggest rip-offs in ayrshire, myself and quite a few other caravan owners will be leaving at the end of 2012 season, mainly for all of the reasons mentioned in the other reviews on this forum,it may be a great place for an outside party! not so if you are paying for non existent facilities, and forced into a large broom cupboard with screaming kids when private functions are catered for enuf is enuf were off!!!

  • 1 star reviewcould not agree more with unhappy campers at this rip-off second rate establishment we will be giving up this year as well mainly due to the ever increasing site fees,as you could get better value just about anywhere. as for being treated as second class when paying top dollar that is an accurate description i would fully agree with,as when there are numerous private parties you are forced into a very small room at the rear of the club with a swarm of young children thrown in for good measure. enough is enough thats why were off

  • 1 star reviewtotally agree with unhappy camper we will be leaving at the end of season 2012 no security on the site property stolen and damaged owners do not seem to care as long as the club is busy with private functions, money appears to be king at this site with owners getting quite a raw deal with amenities provided, and certainly taking second place to outside parties using the main function hall

  • 1 star reviewgreat place for a party not so good if you own a caravan here, residents forced into small games room at rear of club when main hall is used for private functions, you are paying almost £1500 a season in site fees for the pleasure of being treated like a second class citizen ,you really could not make this up believe me.

  • 5 star reviewAlthough I live only three miles away, I had never been in Tait's Tavern until last April when I attended a friends birthday party. Tait's is an ideal venue, the layout is good and the staff are friendly and helpful. I liked it so much, I booked it for my husbands surprise birthday party -and what a fabulous time was had by all! Tait's can comfortably accomodate about 100 people without losing that lovely, intimate atmosphere. Caroline (the manageress) has the patience of a saint, and I cannot thank her enough as she pulled out all the stops to ensure the evening ran like clockwork. I would definitely recommend Tait's, and should we be planning any more parties, they would be my first choice of venue.
