• Where do I begin? We booked our 1 week fishing holiday in January 2022, paid our deposit, from the details supplied on their website. We booked for 1 week fishing holiday 23/07/2022 -30/07/2022 ( 2 adults fishing, and our dog Rusty). We booked the 'roundhouse' accommodation. I even messaged them on Facebook, the night before departure (4 hour journey), to make sure everything was still OK before we set off! Arrived on 23/07/2022 as planned, and was promptly told that NO surface fishing was allowed on their pools? However, their website that they are currently advertising, does not state this at all? My bait and tackle were for surface fishing only, so I was instructed upon arrival, that I would not be allowed to fish for the week? The new owners of this business, only took over 2 months ago, and they have changed their policies and procedures, however they are still using the previous website from the excellent owners previously, and all of the 'good' feedback on their current website, relates to the previous owners, and their bookings, not the current new owners! To give you an example of the new owners of this business, my partner rang them this morning, as we only stayed for 1 night, and then left as we were told we could not 'surface fish', and my partner rang at 07.30 this morning, to ask about refund payment that was promised, the response my partner got from his phone call was.....'it is 07.30am f*** off you physcopath, and the phone was then put down on him? Absolutely disgusting treatment, from a business to their customers! Avoid at all costs! I also have photos of the accommodation, unsafe decking, just waiting to collapse, and an accident waiting to happen! Mould in the fridge, outside lights that are 'hanging' off the wall, etc! Book at your own peril!
