• A family camping weekend to finish the summer was completely ruined by the attitude of the reception staff and wardens. We are a family of 5 who frequently camp around Northern Ireland. We use a small family tent and suppliment the sleeping arrangements with 2 small tents which are arranged at the back of the main tent and take up the same room as a large family tent. We booked in and paid per person per night as requested. On the second night an aggresive warden demanded that we take down the small sleeping tents used by our teenagers to sleep in. We proceeded to try and sort out the misunderstanding at the office only to be abused and accused of being underhand and devious by not booking the tents in. The 'lady' we dealt with at reception was the rudest I have ever met in a customer service situation. She confirmed that if we had erected a large tent sleeping the same amout of people as we had there would have been no issue. The experience left us completely bewildered and frustrated that attitudes like this could exist in the service industry. The result was we packed up the next morning and be assured we will never be returning to the SKERRIES.
