• I call in at Shortcakes when passing through Wragby to my caravan at Skegness. In that time I have become friendly with the owners. I was in there on 26th April and yes service was slower than usual but they were explaining there had been a family emergency and two of them could not be there and the saturday girl had let them down. The food though was still of a good standard. Perhaps its a message posted by the competition down the road!!

• Brilliant established with a great menu and choice of cakes and coffees. I love the staff there, such a good atmosphere with lots of interaction. I've learnt the hard way that this is the best place in Wragby for food, drink and chat. Such a shame this place gets bypassed!

• Stopped at Shortcakes on the way back from the coast. What a fantastic find. Staff really friendly and helpful nothing too much trouble. Cakes to die for and certainly home made. Fantastic deal on jumbo fish, chips and peas £5.95. Was recommended to stop here after a moan to a neighbour about the poor quality and rudeness of The Corn Dolly two doors down. Be sure to look out for it and give it a go if passing through Wragby. Well done keep up the good service and excellent cakes.
