• Oh dear owners what have you done to the once warm atmosphere of this village pub. It would appear you believe you are in the WEST END and not the WESTCOUNTRY.Gone are the once welcoming features with a refurbishment which is far too modern from cutlery to menu. You may be surviving at the moment with holiday visitors but remember the summer season only tends to last around four months and then much depends on your area residents. Did you do any sort of survey with the 'locals' before commiting yourselves to the 'yuppie' meals that you are currently surving at the moment. I don't think so !! Is chicken or home made steak and ale pie not good enough for your menu now.The service was outstanding but I'm sorry to say that although we have been visiting The Ship for the last thirty years we will not be calling in again until menus suitable to EVERYBODY returns.

• The presentation and quality of the food is outstanding - complimented by the friendly service and the traditional look of the building itself. Truly the best meals can be found here.

• We have never had a bad meal at the Ship Inn since we first went there 30 years ago. Food and service has always been very good
