• I asked Mr Capek for help preparing documentation for an employment tribunal. I had been representing myself and with just a few weeks to go I was struggling to prepare everything myself. Mr Capek charged me £360 up front for the work I instructed him to do. In return I received a flawed legal opinion (completely at odds with an experienced barrister and two solicitors) and a refusal to carry out any of the work I had asked him to complete. He even claimed for a further £120 for time he had spent printing out and reading documents in relation to my case. He formed his opinion having admitted he only read a limited amount of the documentation I sent him. He then refused to acknowledge that his opinion was flawed and refused to refund me, even though he admitted to having spent a significant amount of the time I had paid for just printing out and organising documents that he didn't actually then read. I was left £360 out of pocket and with none of the work completed that I had asked for. Furthermore, I wasted a week when I believed Mr Capek was working on my case and he left me with less than 2 weeks to complete the work I had asked him to undertake. My advice - don't waste your time. Do the work yourself or pay a real solicitor to do it for you.
