• Three of us went and could not have the 4 meal it's against the rules of the manager. What is all that about. ??????

• Cold chip the steak and ale pie had been in the microwave far to long the short crust pasty Wos like a roof tile avoid calling if u or hungry by one good meal get one free not fit for the dog

• Went here for a special meal with a large group of senior people and it was a complete disaster. I think those reviewers who went here and had a good experience must have some pretty low standards. I could go on but in summary, the place smelled stale and unpleasant when we first arrived; the service was very slow (more than 1 hour between courses); microwaved veg, cold meat and desserts. Avoid this place like the plague !!! When a complaint was made they offered a voucher; as if it would be used !!

• Have dined at The Riverside plenty of times, for Birthdays, catching up with family and quiet time with myself and partner. Would and do recommend it all the time. The food is always fresh, hot and very tasty. Lovely service too! My favourite is their Rib eye steak which is always cooked exactly how I've asked for it, which I've not had the same results elsewhere where it's overcooked and never quite right. We have a large family whom all visit for many years too! Well done all.

• Food very bland and cold tea and coffee think they use the cheapest brands. I had mushroom lasagne it looked like strips of pasta in gravy couldnt see any mushrooms. Lots of children crying it was like a motorway cafe if you go try later when children have all gone but I wouldnt go again the only nice thing was the view of the river....

• Food very bland I asked for perculator coffee it tasted like instant my husband had pot of tea it was like water lots of crying babies and children it was like a motorway cafe. I had wild mushroom lasagne it was awful couldnt find any mushrooms just looked like pasta strips in gravy. We wont be going back too noisy for my liking...
