• I've been going to the riverbank for a few years on and off and is one of my favourite places to eat and drink in Kilmarnock. Very well mannered friendly staff and great food and a clean and comfortable place to be. Food is reasonably priced and portions are good, lunch time specials are also money savers(which we all like)and last but not least it's cooked and presented well, i for one have not had a bad meal in here, Orders are taken quickly and cooked in a reasonable time. Im quite shocked by the previous review as this has never been the case even when i first started eating here...cant please everyone i suppose and were all entitled to have an opinion!!!

• Where do i start. Well firstly the only good thing was the food to be honest. The Menus were an absolute disgrace, falling to bits and sticky. Took at least 5 minutes be be recognised at the table and a further 10 to get a drink. Spoke to the manager, a not so helpful person, how he got that job i will never know, however he seemed disinterested in my complaint, and never offered any apology for the lack and poorness of the service. However to give the staff some credit, the barman was the only person i did actually see and appeared to be the only person doing any work. a chap with a beard and glasses stood amiously at the bar offering no assistance whilst chatting to the so called manager. verdict, i wont be back again for sure
