Owner description of Rhinos Kickboxing Childrens Classes

 

"ADULT CLASSES; Our adult's classes in Bedwas and Heath are designed to help get people fit and toned using a range of kicks,punches,knees,elbows and other basic cardio/strengthening exercises. You do not need any experience or to be fit in advance as we will adapt the sessions to the people who are training and teach you everything you need to know. Just turn up in jogging bottoms and a t-shirt, bring some water and we can get you started straight away. Sunday 11 – 12pm Bedwas High SchoolTuesday 7.30-9pm St Thomas Church TrethomasWednesday 8-9pm Sports Social Club at Heath Hospital Friday (Sparring) 7-8pm St Cenydd Leisure Centre •CHILDRENS CLASSES ; Here the emphasis is on fitness and fun using basic kickboxing techniques. The sessions consist of a cardio vascular warm up taken by the instructor or other senior grade, followed by padwork which is watched and corrected by the instructor and coaches.Children usually start this class between 4 and 12 years of age, with older/more experienced students training in adults sessions. Tuesday 6-7pm St Cenydd Leisure Centre Friday 6-7pm St Cenydd Leisure Centre Friday (Sparring) 7-8pm St Cenydd Leisure CentreSparring is done outside of the advertised hours because many newer students do not want to practice fighting. Sparring can only be done where the students have KMA sparring gear and is expected to be kept light. Sparring is learning fighting based techniques and practicing for tournaments, it is not for injuring each other.Just turn up in jogging bottoms and a t-shirt, and bring some water and you are ready to go.You do not need any experience and do not need to be fit before starting as we cater the session around beginners as well as our more experienced students.You do not need to do belts, or to fight but we also offer these options for those that want to be rewarded for their hard work and/or to compete.If you need to know anything then you can e-mail ross@rhinoskickboxing.co.uk or phone 0775 122 9931 and ask to speak to Ross for any questions you may have."
