• Three of us ate there for our birthdays on 16th Feb 2012 , the menu lacked variety , the starter was horrible the salad was like chewing tough grass ,it was King prawns which was not stated as such on the menu ,because neither of us like them and would not have had them ,the main meal was awlful, my husband had the fish and it was running in fat and the batter was not cooked ,I asked for a medium/well cooked steak and it was running in blood , my Aunt asked for no cucumber , it came with cucumber , we asked for two pots of pepper sauce it came smeared on one steak ,having complained about the starter ,we decided to eat what we had snd said not to return to the pub again .The nicest thing was the caring young man who lit the fire as my husband suffers from Raynauds . Disappointing as we were celebrating our birthdays and we always use this place ,travelling from Wiltshire to share it with my aunt who lives local,but NOT again ,
