  • 1 star reviewAbsolutely vile! We were sold a land rover freelander. The car was running when we got in, already raising alarm bells about the clutch. Our suspicions were confirmed. The clutch was awful. Earlier this week we also discovered that it doesn't have a propshaft! For non motoring people this means it is a 2 wheel drive not a 4 wheel drive like that had been emphasising and rubbing in our faces to try and make the sale. Talk about Mis-represented products! We took it to them earlier this week so it could be repaired. They refused to give us a loan car and we have lost business ourselves because we have been unable to reach our clients. They gentleman Ian is incredibly rude and if I say very sexist that would be the biggest understatement in the world. He spoke to my mother like she was dirt. It took a lot of will power not to smash this gentleman one in the face. After a series of phone calls through gritted teeth we are about to go and pick up the car. I am expecting some flipping good results but from other reviews have heard they will have botched the job. Luckily I have a friend that runs a law firm and is more than happy to take them to the cleaners if need be, so that shall be an adventure! To anybody looking to buy from pump hill, DO NOT DO IT! They are rude, sexist and frankly vile people that seem to only care about the balance in their bank account and not the standard of customer service.

  • 1 star reviewI went to this garage to enquire about buying a car from them and part exchanging my car with them. They seemed very nice and helpful and said they would ring back the next day with a price! No return phone call I rang back and was told the salesman Ian wasn't in but a message would be passed on and I would be contacted the next day on his return. The next day came and went and no phone call, rang again this time spoke to Bob who told me he would ring back in 10 mins guess what no phone call. On every occasion I left my phone number and I have just spoke to the first salesman Ian who said Oh! did no one ring you back.............I very quickly thought about good manners, customer care and how to inspire people with a good reputation of car salesmen. Avoid!!! I have since my encounter with this garage given away my car to my Brother in Law and have gone elsewhere to buy a car.

  • 1 star reviewbought a car from pump hill garage, car seemed fine, until I took it on the motorway! engine would just cut out found that if we changed a fuse the engine and car would start and run fine, but then it would do it again, took the car to them to fix, they kept it for a week driving it around and said it was a faulty sensor and fixed it, though they wanted to keep it for longer?? Took the car back on the motorway and same problem happened again at the same point!! checked the fuses as they blew again, and found they had put a 30 amp fuse in instead of a 20 amp which is what its meant to have. So obviously they didnt fix the problem and thought that if they just changed a fuse and had it as a free company car for a week we would be happy.. Definitely not, so beware of this garage!!! would not recommend anyone to buy a car form here.
