• Bought a 7 seater last month for a fair price - within days it was in the garage under warranty having ALOT of work carried out, got it back after a week, again a day passed and was back in for major repairs! After getting the car back, it went wrong again!! Ended up having a private inspection through the finance company and them 'writing it off' as a vehicle that's unfit for purpose! Portland carriage refused to have the car back or discuss the private inspection with either ourselves or finance company. Luckily for us we have a fantastic finance company who are sorting it all out. Portland carriage are a waste of time and money. Very rude and obviously have no conscience if they're willing to sell a car to a large family with young kids knowing its a 'wrongen'

• My brother has bought two cars from here over the years and I've recently bought one as well. One of these had a minor fault which was quickly repaired under warranty and the rest have been completely hassle free. Each time the whole buying process was very down to earth. Never had a problem with this company and would recommend.

• I totally agree with Simon, the car we purchased has caused us nothing but problems.. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

• DO NOT BUY FROM THESE COWBOYS!!! We purchased a ford foucus ST170 from them and there were problems from the out set. Went to the garage 8 times in the first three months!!! Stay clear. Not even worth the 1 star.
