• Have visited this pub several times. Nice freindly staff with a good choice of beers and real ales. Entertainment of various styles is on most week-ends. But they let themselves down when I tried a meal. The Chicken Fajita sizzler wasn't sizzling and the metal plate it was presented on was barely warm. My partners steak was also barely warm and the whole meal was cold after a few minutes because the plates were served cold. As we were the only two customers eating in the bar at the time there was no excuse for such a poorly cooked and presented meal. The person who was the so called cook seemed not too happy at being dragged away from the end of the bar to make a couple of meals. A nice enough pub but was let down badly by the efforts of whoever does the cooking. Will return for a beer but not a meal. Is it so hard to produce a hot meal ??
