• Initial dealings went well and the garage even waited for me to make payment, which was helpful. After initially inspecting the vehicle, I found a moderate scratch on the front left bumper and the driver side kick plate had come loose. As part of the deal, they clearly stated that both would be fixed. Upon collection, the scratch had not been fixed (it was dark and I couldn't see it) and kick plate had been poorly fixed - coming loose about 5 days later. However, these were not the main issues. The day after I purchased the car, it went into safe mode. I immediately called Motor Studio and was told in no uncertain terms "take it to a mechanics and get it fixed". Fearing the worst, I did so - completely under the impression that I had the Motor Studio's permission to proceed & would be covered by the warranty. When the problem was fixed (couple of sensors and a brake light switch - £230) I was then told by the warranty company that my fault would not be covered as I "did not have permission to proceed with the repair". After speaking with Motor Studio, they claimed that it was "wear and tear" and that "I'd driven the car into a pothole" - despite the car being mine for approx 24 hours / sub 40 miles. Effectively, they'd given permission for me to proceed and then changed their mind once they'd realised it was going to cost them £230 for the repair. Following strong words with the warranty company, they firmly placed the blame with Motor Studio. After speaking with Motor Studio, they said they'd make a goodwill gesture - either themselves or through the warranty company. They have yet to make this and show no signs of doing so. Seriously, even if it's bad news - at least strap on a pair and call me back to say so. I understand that not all car garages show high street levels of customer service, so naturally my expectations were lower. To not be able meet these basic expectations is really poor form. For the above reasons, I would not recommend you deal with Motor Studio.
