• Food- took ages to come out to us even though it was quiet. Side orders were bought out 15 mins before the main meal, and out of 10 of us the last meal came out after the other 9 people had finished with no apology for the wait. The beef burgers are cooked too fast, burnt on the outside not enough in the middle. The salads on meals are hot! But the actual meal is lukewarm. Service- where do I start. We met my boyfriend in there, and when we pulled into the car park the landlady and the chef were very disgraceful and were very disrespectful about my family as we go every week and have to make slight alterations to certain meals due to allergies, they didn't like it, which for one I find discriminating. And they don't like the fact that its ordered separately. When spoken to she admitted what she had said but only apologised for her being overheard not for saying anything in the bar area. (which should be done anyway!) and then continued to talk about me to the next customer. Altogether it's averaging £80 a time, an amount that they have now lost, as we will not be going there for the foreseeable, definitely while this landlady is in charge.

• Under new ownership, well worth a visit. Lovely atmosphere, fantastic food and excellent service. Good,friendly pub.
