• I visited the mayfly for lunch today and ordered a club sandwich, which i was unable to eat as the toasted bread was burnt black which made the rest of the food also taste burnt, the fact that the chef had tried to hide the burnt toast by placing all of the burnt sides on the bottom was even worse. I have meals in the mayfly often, but after today i will not be returning

• I visited The Mayfly again for lunch on Thursday, 14th April with two friends and we were, again, impressed by the excellent meal, good service and very reasonable cost. We will certainly be coming again!
