• I have been going to this establishment for years and most of the time they are good. Food is consistently great but the service can vary from great to downright appalling. My last visit will be exactly that, my last. Thanks to an incredible poor service, almost two hours to serve starters for three people and main meals for six, and that only after I complained. There was no one to 'catch their attention' for long periods so to complain I had to go and find the person who appeared to be manager. I say appeared because if he was the manager he is taking money under false pretences. He gave the impression he really was not interested if we were enjoying our stay or not. Then, when I became annoyed he did the manly thing and delegated the problem to his poor waitress. This completely spoiled my wife's birthday meal and this is the second time they have spoiled a special occasion. I will add we, a group of 6 on average, have been going there every 5 - 6 weeks for around five years. I really do not expect this to mean they have to treat us with any special treatment but I do expect a minimum level of service and staff that value your custom. I wanted to give one star but in fairness their food is always vey good.

• As a surprise for my 60th birthday my daughter and family booked a table for 5.00pm on Sunday 28th July, we arrived was seated to be told no roast dinners or sirloin steaks, this was very disappointing as it was a Sunday and only 5.00pm, it was not that busy, so find it hard to believe they had run out of roast dinners.
