  • 1 star reviewThe Lockerroom is now closed. The news of closure was broken to staff on Wednesday January 16th 2013. The pub like many others in the town was losing custom as changes in peoples drinking habits these days took effect. People are just not going out the same as they used to. The removal of the Sky Sports package didn't help I feel Sky's dominance in sports tv is actually contributing to many pub closures. Without it the punters stay away but it's too expensive for all but the busiest pubs to afford. I am sure more pubs in Alloa will suffer the same fate as the Lockerroom. It was one of the best pubs in Alloa with a decentt clientel. A sad day not only for the customers but for the staff losing their jobs and Alloa town centre.

  • 4 star reviewHaving paid several visits to The Locker Room over the last three weeks. I am glad to see most of my previous complaints seem to have been dealt with. The bare walls now have framed sports themed pictures again which has improved the atmosphere. The musty smell was not present during my visits and the pub seems to have had spring clean. The bar area seems brighter and more welcoming. The young staff members seem keen to change the pubs fortunes around and are happy to have a 'gid blether'. A lot of regulars who moved on to other pubs in the town are making a comeback according to a customer who I was speaking to. The bar seemed to be stocked better and had customers during my recent visits. The pub is now a more pleasant place to drink thanks its seems to the efforts of the staff. With one of the big meals orientated pub chains looking to open just round the corner I hope The Locker Room can hold onto its new lease of life. A vast improvement over my previous visit.

  • 1 star reviewSince the previous owner gave up this pub to concentrate on running his other pub in the town at the beginning of the year. The Locker Room has gone downhill badly. The framed pictures of sports memorabilia removed at the takeover have not been replaced leaving a cold and unwelcoming atmosphere in the pub. There is a heavy mustjy stale smell when entering the pub and the bar is forever running out of various drinks. This pub had a good and loyal customer base but they have since moved on to other pubs in the town. The present owners have done nothing to enhance the pub or its atmosphere and the result is a very quiet at times empty pub. It needs a good clean out and refurbishment to entice people back. Its a dreary place to drink and potential customers now look in and walk out again. This pub used to be the best in Alloa-- sadly as no effort is being made to attract customers it's now a pub to avoid.
