• The Hoops is Bassingbourn's local village pub and is well worth a visit, whether just to enjoy the friendly informal environment with a drink, or to eat. Very varied menu all reasonably priced and enjoyable.

• HEALTH HAZARD! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! The very worst food we have ever been served in a pub or restaurant. At least one of us now has food poisoning after regrettably enduring the food here. When we complained they gave us £2 off the bill. So as reasonable as they are good cooks... Do yourself a favour and choose any other pub in the UK. Total disgrace.
