• I agree with the guy who says ethnicity surely has nothing to do with it. I can't imagine a sentence that reads: the white/caucasian man/woman behind the counter was very rude. Bit like saying: the man/woman with a big nose behind the counter was very rude. Size of nose like ethnicity has nothing to do with being rude or polite. I'm a bit appalled at both the comments here that mention ethnicity. Thought Scottish people were among the least racist. As for the service at Hillhead Post Office - very handy, especially as it's open even on a Sunday, amazing! But definitely understaffed, far too long queues. Sort it out, please!

• I'd give it 1 star for the rude and annoying Asian guy that was annoyed that my gf only asked him for a proof of postage once he dealt with her letter - can't imagine a cashier at supermarket being annoyed if a customer wants a receipt! I'm adding one more star for the friendly Asian girl, she was nice and fast when dealing with me.

• The post office on Great Western Road offers a great service, as far as I'm concerned; though perhaps they could do with more staff, as it can get very busy. Surely the ethnicity of the woman (in the previous review)is irrelevant. Scotland's service industry is slowly improving, thanks mainly to a more global outlook. But it still has a long way to go to shed its reputation for being dour and "moany faced". It really has nothing to do with race, as poor service can be found across the board. Wha's like us?

• My wife was spoken to very rudely by the asian woman behind the window. She was told to "move" when deemed to be too close to the window, kept a look of disdain on her face thoughtout the service, never once said please or thankyou, and when told she was being rude, just sneared "pardon?". What is the post office coming to? What a disgrace to a once proud service.
