• Fantastic lunch on a very busy Mother's Day, fast service despite there being fully booked. Delicious roast dinner and some of the best coffee I've ever had. Sounds too good to be true, but it is a fantastic pub.

• We visited the pub on a Friday lunchtime as a group of 9 walkers.We enjoyed some good beers and yes we did have a long wait for our food order but when it came it was well presented and delicious - well worth the wait.We will look forward to a return visit.

• A lovely pub in a lovely location - but be prepared to wait a good 40 minutes for your food. I appreciate that it was fairly busy when we visited (Saturday lunchtime), but considering that the objective of the place is to serve food, one should think that they can deal with a bit of a rush-on. The staff weren't particularly apologetic about the fact that we waited ages (for a sandwich, I may add) either, and served the people who had ordered their food some 15 minutes after us, first - because they complained. And even though the food was fine, it certainly wasn't worth the wait.
