• Contrary to the miserable and negative rating in one of these comments, a man who clearly holds a grudge about something! I find Gottersons fish and chips to be of excellent quality and with very generous portions. The food is usually cooked to order so it’s deliciously hot and fresh, what’s the point of cooking loads of food just to have it sit in the warmer going stale, not knowing whether you are going sell it or not. I think some people need to take stock and get out of bed the right side, because one day you may not get out of bed at all!!

• Awful,awful awful, cold,foul tasting chips. The batter is horrid. Fish is not fresh, sausages are grisly. The owner is moody with NO personality at all. You always have to wait as they never have anything ready. As the only chippy in town it could be a goldmine. How hard can it be to do good fish and chips! Every time I go in I regret it.
