• Staff on the phone obnoxious and rude. My wife and I used to order from the Golden Palace regularly until she died in March. I tried to order a meal for one this evening. The minimum spend is £8 and my order came to £9.40. The guy on the phone asked for my phone number, and then he read off my address which was on their system, he then asked for my phone number again!. Eventually, after repeating my phone number several times and confirming my address several times, I asked to pay by card. I was told that I had to spend over £10 to make a card payment so had no alternative but to cancel my order. Surely with the pandemic and government advice to pay for all goods by card, they would accept card payments for any amount. Surely their delivery person accepting cash , handling food orders, and possibly giving change is a COVID-19 health risk!. Unfortunately, their terrible attitude towards this customer and disregard for hygiene and safety means they have lost another customer.
