  • 1 star reviewBack in may 2012 we employed Geoff to install our bathroom whilst we were away on holiday. He had told us it would take a week to complete and on receiving various texts that week, we were under the impression everything was going ok. Unfortunately on returning home this was far from the truth. No dust sheets had been put down, so Our carpet that was maroon was a shade of grey from all the dust and rubble that had been trodden in. I had closed all the doors on the rooms that weren't being used, in order to keep as much of the dust out as possible. But even that couldn't be respected. Every room was used as a dumping ground, including my 9month old son's bedroom. Geoff had employed a so called professional tiler, Thomas, to come and help him, nd on inspecting the work I was appalled. Tiles were chipped and uneven, smeared with dry silicone. The bath had a chip in it, the sink was scratched, the toilt seat was already broken, the list was endless. On requesting the boys came back so I could highlight the points I was unhappy with, Thomas refused to get out of his van and talk to me. Even when my partner got home he still wouldn't make any comments. I don't know what plumbers are like in Poland, which is where Thomas is from, but here in England I expect someone to put their hands up to the work they have done and take the consequences. On having had this chat, Thomas drove away from the job, saying he was no longer going to continue working with Geoff. For the next week we got numerous sob stories from Geoff at how he had been left in the lurch, and on offering him the chance to rectify things, he said he would get back to us. Well it's now October and still no word, and to my knowledge Geoff continues to work with Thomas. It's a complete joke.

  • 1 star reviewHaving employed Geoff to install a new bathroom suite with tiling, he and his tiling partner priced the works, which we arrayed to them. The whole works were then left to the tiling patter Tomasz who worked for 3 weeks on the project. A deal had been struck between the 2 for Tomasz to do the works, which we war only told 1 week into the project. At the end of the works, he asked for full payment and left saying he had run out of time and could not finish. We did not pay the full value and requested a review meeting the following evening. There were 80 snags identified including, toilet not fixed to the wall or floor (unless you count mastic), shower screen not water tight (no mastic), built-in cupboards not fixed to wall (left free standing), no hot water connection to tap so bathroom flooded when tap in use, tiling not finished, grouting missing, shower head not fitted, door hinges surrounded by mastic. We have been left in utter limbo. I have offered Geoff and Tomasz the chance to fix the issues and reciev their full payment. This has resulted in a 1 week delay, followed by only 1/2 works to rectify. Both have now walked off the job and have prioritised their future clients over correcting the nightmare w face in getting things fixed. We have with held their final payment to try and cover the costs to now organise other parties to come and rectify these works. I feel massively ripped off and let down by Tomasz and Geoff.
