• Son paid over £1000 for his carpets..supposed to be fitted within 2 weeks...6 weeks and many phone calls later, he got "carpets"....NOT the ones he ordered, but was told they would temporarily lay them until the proper carpets arrive.....He ordered black carpets and they gave him beige....General george heading for the toilet pan I think.....

• I warn anyone who uses General George carpets! Poor service. We ordered carpet, 2 weeks later fitter came and lay carpet then we discoved a huge tear to the carpet. Complained to manager he promised to send a employee to view it in the next couple of days. After many calls by us 2 weeks later! They assessed carpet to be faulty and would replace it. But the earliest they could do it was in a month. Over a month later they came with new carpet fitter ripped up the existing damaged carpet and went to put the new carpet down only to find it was the wrong measurements (cut to short) but they could not get new carpet that day or week as the shop was moving. So we were left with only underlay for 2 weeks. We demanded a better quality carpet for inconvenience caused. Finally 2 months later have got carpet.

• Ordered laminate (said in stock) on 17th Aug with Aug fitting noted on contract. Visited them a number of times in Aug chasing it up and been promised delivery dates. 7th Sept I called, and they thought that because I hadn't complained since Aug, it had all been fitted! They have NO effective stock or customer management. 24th Sept and they now have called to say they now have the laminate. But already in hands of my credit card company.

• Do not use General George. Bought a stocked carpet 2 months ago. Went have have it fitted and they told me they didn't have enough to complete my job and they have has issues with the supplier ordering a new one. Shop manager is useless.

• Do not use, Had a delivery slot took day off work and fitters did not show, After several phone calls eventually 5pm in evening they admitted their fitter was off sick and I would not be getting my delivery. No apology terrible communication

• DO NOT BUY ANY FLOORING HERE, WAS LEFT WAITING 6 WEEKS FOR FLOORING I WAS TOLD WOULD BE IN STOCK WITHIN 7 DAYS

• I bought carpet from the shop, promised to get it delivered before christmas, week later got a phone call from them saying it wont be delivered until January.Sales man wins again!
