• lovely pub 1 min walk from house, but i wont drink or eat there again, i had a family reunion there and the landlady was rude as hell,telling us to be quiet on a sat night around 7-7-30 pm, get rid of that old goat....

• Visited the Galley Hall on a Saturday evening January 2013 and the 6 of us could not praise the food and the service highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and I am sure will visit again soon. Without wanting to do the Pub out of business, my most helpful advice would be to avoid a starter because the portions are huge. Thanks for a super evening and for making our well behaved child so welcome.

• We went to the Galley hall for an early evening family supper. Our party of 10 included a couple of toddlers, which were accommodated for, with highchairs, all good so far. As is the case with small children, they tend to have small bouts of general boisterousness. nothing too noisy and other customers did not seem to perturbed. After a lengthy wait to clear up our table, we were approached by a middle aged woman who i would consider to be the head waitress/bartender and were told that the children had been "constantly" screaming and that she had received complaints and if it continued we would be asked to leave, before we could pick our chins up off the table, she sauntered off!! Now you can imagine our disgust when 1) The children were generally quiet throughout the meal, to say they were constantly screaming for over 2 hours, is genetically impossible! 2) The other customers in our vicinity were waving and smiling at regular intervals. 3) The pub perturbs to be child friendly and has even recently added a playground at the rear of the premises! To say were disgusted is an understatement, we will never set foot there again and I would urge anyone with children or groups with boisterous individuals who maybe have a loud laugh for example, will be better off taking their custom elsewhere!!

• Steak night is great value and really good food. Friendly staff and traditional pub atmosphere
