• I've found FWA to be very helpful and straightforward. They've been extremely good at answering my questions and being and oil and gas contractor I feel as though I'm in good hands with these guys. They set my Ltd company up for me in one day. So far I'm very happy.

• I would second the above review. This has been my first venture into being self-employed and they've not been in the least bit helpful. I recently changed to a local accountant and the difference is marked in terms of how helpful they are. Freelance World (Now FW Accounting) claimed they would do six-monthly bookkeeping reviews, answer queries, provide tax advice etc in their original terms of engagement - It's August and the only thing I've had since January is Out of Office replies. A friend who is still with them has just told me they're planning on increasing the fee they charge by nearly double! Don't be put off by the charming web design, video blogs and what-not. They're great at reeling you in - but not so good at actually providing the service you pay for.

• I wouldn't recommend their services. Their claim that they take the worry out of your accountancy so 'you' can focus on what 'you' do best is simply not the case. Answers to questions simply spawn more questions. I ended up having to become an accountancy expert in order to simply understand the rambling responses to my questions - and this despite paying for a 'deluxe' service! So, in addition to having to focus on running my core business I spent many an hour trawling the Internet for answers to my questions. No thank you Freelance World.
