Poor service despite providing a list of the meals required two weeks in advance. The soup was tasteless and looked very unappetising. The Yorkshire was burnt and the potatoes looked and tasted liked the previous days reheated. All in all a very disappointing experience. We will not be recommending or returning.

Just enjoyed Sunday lunch at the Farmer's Boy. There were 11 of us altogether. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the service was excellent. Food was wonderful and empty plates all round. Even from the children. My steak was very tender and melted in the mouth. Lovely varied menu including sizzling partridge which my husband enjoyed. I cannot fault the food, venue or service. We will definitely return.

Had a meal in this establishment with my hubby, all started off so well and the bar service was excellent, however the food was not to be desired unless your fond of rubber microwaveable food with many hairs in it! Also saw the older man blow his nose on a tea Towel and hung it back behind the bar,not sure what this towel is used for but hopefully not for drying glasses! And to top it off later on that evening I heard the older man screaming and hollering from the kitchen using obscenities including the C word! Would not recommend this place and would tell others to avoid like the plague! Rant over

Seven of us went on Boxing day, after having a couple of really good meals here, we had really bigged it up to our family saying how great the food was etc. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with food and the waitress, who seemed most put out that we did not want to sit on seperate tables. The starters were superb, no complaints, very prompt and tasty, but the main course relly let them down, maybe christmas nerves!!! Beef like shoe leather, roasties like rock and parsnips you could stab someone to death with!! Dessert ok but had forgotten sugar in crumble?? Men behind bar excellent as always

Poor slow service. I'm not suprised you have to pay up front, otherwise customers would have disapeared!!!

A-PLUS rating from my friends and myself. There were nine of us and we were treated very well. The food and service was excellent, all the staff are very pleasant and helpfull. Plenty of parkins as well.

I would thoroughly recommend this pub.
The setting internal and external, plus the atmosphere, food and service are excellent.
I have eaten here three time recently and each time has been enjoyable.
I will be visiting again for certain..
