• I am very disappointed with the service at this practice. Following a consultation with the dentist it was established that I needed to have the remainder of a broken tooth extracted and another tooth filled; I had the filling done. I returned to have the broken tooth extracted, as agreed, and realised after my mouth had been anaesthetised and work had begun, that the dentist was drilling out the already filled tooth and refilling it! I asked what she was doing and told her I wanted my other tooth extracted as agreed and she said it was too late to do this as she had already "numbed" one side of my mouth and couldn't safely do the other at the same visit. I came away having received duplicate treatment, which was of no help to me at all. This practice also removed my wife from their register following her cancellation of an appointment whilst she was pregnant. They gave no formal notice, other than to tell her they wouldn't help her when she telephoned to arrange an urgent appointment for toothache; they then sent her a letter dated that day informing her she had been de-registered (with immediate effect) at the will of the dentist with no other reason given. My family and I are now registered with a professional dental practice in Hawick.
