• Very good fresh food. Very welcoming and friendly landlord. Cosy pub atmosphere, eg log fire. Good selection of obscurer real ales. Books for sale. A proper village pub well worth a visit but check lunchtime openings.

• Excellent, friendly landlord, great food and even better beer! Brilliant welcome, intelligent and attentive bar staff and reasonably priced food, highly reccomended!

• This place is absolutely brilliant. Landlord is the most accommodating, lovely guy in the world, and bends over backwards to make sure you have a good evening there. Highly highly recommended.

• rang last night to check opening hours as my brother travelling from telford told midday.sat and waited as gardener left and chef arrived not very attentive knocked on door to be told not opening went to tilley
