  • 5 star reviewJust purchased a Focus from Darren and Ian and we are delighted. The service, quality of the cars condition and the expert advice received was refreshing after such a bad experience with a main dealer last year. Darren couldn't do enough to help us out and totally changed my personal view on car dealers. I certainly wont be going anywhere else in the future and will recommend Darren to all friends and family.

  • 5 star reviewI have just brought a car from Darren cruse car sales. After searching auto trader last few months noticed that when searching mondeos that Darren cruse car sales always came up with a good selection of mondeos. I popped along on a Wednesday to see a car I had seen on website. Once there I spoke to the salesman Ian and also the owner Darren who were both polite and pleasant to deal with. Whilst there I was looking at all the other cars they have offer. All the cars were looking stunning and in great condition. I decided there and then to buy the car and was told as it had just been serviced and mot like stated on there adverts that I could drive it home staight away. I am more the happy with my purchase and will def be going back when I want my next car

  • 5 star reviewI have recently bought a focus convertible for my daughter,i found the ideal example at the right price from Darren Cruse Car Sales, the service and the way the car was presented was far better than anything I had seen at any main FORD dealer,if I had believed any of the reviews posted I must say it would have put me off, i think there must be two garages with the same name, because the service i got was far better than anything i have ever experienced with any main dealer, very friendly, proffesional and most of all seamed to care.I delt with Mr Darren Cruse himself,( who was not at any point rude as one of the reviews mentioned)all i can say is, for me i got a GREAT car with GREAT service and a VERY HAPPY daughter,a win win situation.my daughter and i have all ready recommended DARREN CRUSE CAR SALES to all friends and family.

  • 1 star reviewWould be no stars or minus score if possible. My wife and I bought a 2007 Mondeo Ghia from Mr Cruse just over a week ago. Within 36 hours the cruise control and clutch began to exhibit signs of failure. Despite being assured the all was 100% with the car it clearly was not. Mr Cruse assured me that he would 'pay for the repairs, what else can I do?"when I 'phoned him from a service area whilst waiting for a recovery truck. Being advised by local Ford dealer that the problem was most likely to have been caused by the fact that Mr Cruse managed to supply a car with three different makes of almost bald tyres fitted, two of the different makes being on the front (drive) axle. When I informed him of this opinion his response was little short of abusive. He said he would happily replace the tyres if I took the car back to him. How, exactly? The tyres are shot and I live 700 miles away - a factor he no doubt took into consideration when deciding to avoid his responsibilities.

  • 5 star reviewI am writing this review after reading the previous review and feel that it's about a different garage to who I dealt with and doesn't give them the credit they are due. My experience was stress less and felt at easy with the whole experience. I saw a mondeo on the Internet and was just what I was after I called the garage to confirm some details and find out some more information as I live over 150 miles away. They gave me all the info I need without fault and told me all about the car. As I felt confident with the garage I left deposit on car over the phone. I arranged to collect car the following day. The car had 9 months mot on but garage said they wold put a new mot on the car. It had just been serviced so was already to go.they also arranged taxing he car also for me. When I arrived to collect car it was as describe and I was more then happy with garage and the service they had provided. It was simple signing paperwork and off I went. I would very happily recommend the garage to any one I know.

  • 1 star reviewBought a car from Darren Cruse which on comparing even main dealer book price afterwards was overpriced. Found him quite rude also, makes you feel like he is doing you a favour selling you a car no real customer service skills. Also when there were issues with the car after purchase he took quite a bit of persuasion to deal with the issue. So I would definitely not buy from Darren Cruse Car Sales again.

  • 4 star reviewI've just bought a ford mondeo st from this dealer ,drove it home on the Friday night and all was well but the next day a warning light came up on the dash and the car went into limp home mode (a slight loss of power) after spending £7200 I was a little annoyed ,I also needed to be in work on the Saturday morning so I did a detour back to the garage with my wife and my 3 year old daughter in the car as they were dropping me to the station as soon as I pulled up to the garage were I purchased the car from and I was expecting the usual comments like 'it's not our problem or you must have done something to it or its going to cost you a bomb to fix it but I spoke to one of the mechanics and he stopped what he was working on and started work on my car straight away he told me what the fault was through a diagnostic machine (ERG valve) he started to remove it and clean it ,I did say that I was not happy about it just being cleaned and put back as my wife would be driving the car on the motorway with my 3 yr old in the car ,just then the boss walked in (Darren cruse) he had a chat with the mechanic then spoke to me and explained that the ERG valve was probably just clogged up, as the car had been sitting on the forecourt for a while but before I could say I was not happy about it he told the mechanic to replace it with one from another st on the forecourt so that my wife would be safe getting home and I could get of to work, he then said if it does not work he was prepared to replace the part with a new one from ford which I checked on line would have been £250 to £300 after having a short chat with him and his mechanics I can honestly say they seemed genuinely concerned that the car they sold me had a fault and were prepared to sort out any problem ,even though the garage is not local to me I will be taking my car there for services/MOT as I have never received that sort of good service from everyone at that garage

  • 2 star reviewSaw a lovely car on Autotrader priced at £8600. We decided to go and have a look at the car and the price on the car was alot higher than the price on Autotrader which made my heart sink a bit. I don't agree with them advertising two different prices on a car because we nearly walked away when we saw the price was higher than what they advertised on Autotrader. We wanted to p/x our old car and we did some research into what price we would get for it so when we got told we wouldn't get that kind of price I was not too pleased especially when I checked on Autotrader a few days later to see our old car was selling for nearly double than what we got for it. If I had known we wasn't going to get alot for our old car I would've sold it privately. When we bought the car it wasn't even taxed so we had to pay for that also. We won't be buying a car from them again.
