• Just found a photo of pub with menu board headed with Doom Bar (the Cornish beer)- exactly sums up my feelings. Quite the worst pub I've had the misfortune of eating in since the 1970s. Ok for a beer and a packet of crisps, then out. Dining area was a mish-mash of furniture; the table I sat at was collapsing and next to it was a pile of rubbish under another small table. Really shabby to expect people to pay to eat there. Pate and 'crostini' was miserly. 'Crostini' was name grandly given to toasted fag-ends of some old loaf which provided barely enough for a sparrow's meal. Was charged similar price to the 4Star hotel I'd just come from. How this place can continue, I don't know, but it sorely needs to get its act together.
