• We stayed at The Bear of Rodbough in April,my review is a little late as I was assured the manager was going to contact me to discuss my dissappiontment as we left a day early.It was suppose to be an ex room, but it was tatty,the heated radiator in the bathroom was hanging off the wall,the soap holder swung roumd so wouidn't have held anything,the remote to the television had no back so it was difficult to turn channels and the TV was very old fashioned.We were in the addition to the hotel and the walls were very thin at about 3am I thought it was raining turned out to be a gentleman upstairs !!!

• We just had a great value for money break at The Bear of Rodborough; it was almost perfect; food was lovely but service was slow. Afternoon tea is a must and again brilliant value-you could charge double! One further comment we requested a bedroom with a wetroom and we got a step in shower; the reception advised us that this is what you call a wetroom but clearly it is not and due to the fact that I was recuperating from a back operation I needed a wetroom-however, we managed. We highly recommend this hotel.

• Having just had yet another very enjoyable stay at The Broadway Hotel from 10th to 14th.July, we have just one disappointment. On both booking and arrival we informed staff of my husband's coeliac condition which required gluten-free food. This was not supplied. Fortunately, we had brought bread with us. As a result the dinner menu was very limited indeed. We later found two shops nearby which stocked both bread and cheese crackers!
