• Never less than 5* all round. Out of loads I've tried, it's THE best chippy in Bristol (certainly deserves its "No.1 Chippy" GWR Radio Award!). First tried over 20 years ago: have eaten here countless times since. Even used to drive here [Southmead Road]from Bedminster because it's that good and always a reliably great treat. Really wide menu [from all the usual chippy food, to salads, to pizza, to doner meat, to amazing curry sauce - tons of choice]. Great prices [the Set Meals are a real bargain], big portions, and never anything but 100% spot-on delicious food, all served up by Andy [the owner] and his hard-working staff with endless good humour. I always recommend the Cod Almighty to everyone, and everyone agrees so far! There are good chippies, then there's the Cod Almighty... haha :) PS: No idea what the problem was for the reviewer who gave one star and said that the staff waved a lemon at him? Anyway, NOT a "representative experience" at all!

• Terrible Don’t come here. The staff didn’t speak to me. They just waved a lemon in my face! Go to Horfield fish Bar as they are the best. Food was also yuck in here.
