• I find the last review very strange because Coachmans Cottage was closed for the whole of Aug 2013 . We were on holiday. We don't take children and do have check in after 4pm so how could this person have stayed with me. I have a guest book full of lovely comments. Came across this while searching Sparkwell history for a book.

• Accommodation was pleasant and an ideal location for exploring dartmoor. Unfortunately however, I felt that myself and my family were an inconvenience to the host. Upon arriving at 1:45pm we were greater with "I was expecting you at 2pm, but ok" - in fact no time had been specified as to when we could check in! On the day we left the host began to clean the room (whilst huffing) during which time we were still packing up - at 8:30am!!! Her last words to us as she left for her day job were "well I'm going to have to clean it when I get back from work"!
