  • 4 star reviewDisregard previous reviews. This is now a top place if you like quality real ales and very reasonably priced, well cooked and plentiful food. Lunch and early evening main courses - 2 for £10 and excellent.

  • 1 star reviewAt last I have found the worst pub in Wales, waiting to be served my drinks for 20 minutes, foods order of 15 mins and waiting for food for 1hour 15 minutes. All of this without warning, if there was such a long wait on food why not say something. Never again!!!

  • 1 star reviewIf you like waiting 10min+ for each drink then this is the place for you....just two girls trying to serve two bars and the restaurant...the girls were very apologetic and said the land lady and land lord were on holiday, you would think they would sort the staffing out first??...overall very poor experience.

  • 1 star reviewNo longer eat here after a few poor attempts.( just want a nice bit of pub grub like pie and chips etc for under £7 a head!) Wine poor and overpriced. (why no decent glasses?) Lager fine and average price. Cider is crazy price but nice(so BF says)! Could be lovely pub but lacks TLC and atmosphere. Staff are uninterested and have zero customer care skills. Pub needs overhaul from top to bottom. I live within 2 mls and would love it to be my local but its just too poor. Food is inconsistent, drinks too expensive and service poor. I judge a pub by its toilets and the mens toilets are dirty and smelly(just by walking past). Gardens are lovely but I couldn't let daughter play in childrens area as so overgrown. Sun trap by entrance is a smokers den and its hogged by locals all the time and stinks of fag ash. Bar can be like a zoo when locals get in there and start to kick off. Such a shame.

  • 2 star reviewAn excellent real ale pub but not much more. Food over-priced and the exceptionally long wait for service, on numerous occasions for drinks is disgusting. Place is a haven for babies and feral children not to mention uncontrolled dogs both inside and outside the premises. Landlady lacks basic people skills.

  • 2 star reviewCould be a great place but complacent landlords and over priced food and drink coupled with the most lukewarm of welcomes just isn't good enough.

  • 5 star reviewIn reference to Kevin H's review,I was eating in the restaurant with my wife and son the day this incident took place, the landlady did not "throw out a blind man", at all. They arrived in the lounge and before any kind of polite discussion was able to take place, the lady who was with the party started raising her voice shouting at the landlady in front of other customers who were in the lounge at the time. The lady concerned should be ashamed acting like she did,you cant walk into a lounge full of customers and speak to people as she did.At no time were they told they could not eat in the restaurant,I was in the restaurant and were the only people in there, and would of course have no objection to a guide dog coming in.These review sites are very good, but the problem is you only get one side of the story. We had a lovely meal on the day concerned and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Coach and Horses to anyone looking for real ale and good food.

  • 1 star reviewWhat an awful Landlady went to the pub and she threw out a blind man as he wanted to eat in the restaurant with his guide dog!!! A disgrace and they should be shutdown!!!

  • 1 star reviewAs the advert goes probably the worst pub in the world... Food expensive and over cooked, staff rude, owner miserable, beer expensive could be a cracking place if run properly and by somebody who cares

  • 1 star reviewWent to this place on a saturday afternoon one barmaid for two bars, very poor quality of service and a bit pricey would not go again, took 15 minutes to be served!!!

  • 4 star reviewA lovely Locals' pub, ripe for improvement; the Real Ale is served far too cold and the meals are much too expensive. The staff are very "put upon" especially when the pub is busy and there is only one person to serve at two bars while trying not to keep people waiting, clean tables and collect glasses. Don't like the radio speakers in the garden and the live music in the garden is far too loud when all you want to do is go out for a quiet drink on a sunny day. Could be a much nicer place with some greater effort.
