• The previous review written by Anne Jones is clearly malicious. I have been to this pub many times over the past few years and it's cleanliness has always been exceptional. Her aversion to having a bin in the beer garden is some what confusing and the rat story is just a clichéd pub bashing lie. The Coach and Horses is a traditional English pub where good ale and good conversation are paramount. If you like local hospitality and character then this is perfect. If you prefer a bland chain then there is an ember pub across the road.

• Do not use this pub. The beer garden consists of three tables next to a bin. I saw a rat running along the wall behind the bin. I intend reporting this to the local environmental health department. Disgusting if they are serving food.
