• Absolutely atrocious! Myself and my friend visited this cafe for lunch last week. The staff were friendly and we had both decided to have the soup of the day with a portion of chips between us. We waited 20 minutes for our order which we didnt mind too much as we presumed that meant it was quality food. When the food eventually came, the waiter had forgotton to order our chips and so we accepted that due to the fact that we were on our work lunch we wouldnt have time to wait for them to be cooked. The soup that had arrived was watery and looked suspiciously like heinz. We questionned the waiter about the soup and when we mentionned tinned soup he appeared unsettled and shifty. We then realised that we were paying £4.50 each for a bowl of heinz soup which is on sale in sainsburys for 84p! We were shocked and complained straight away! The waitress was apologetic but did not deny that the soup was from a tin. This cafe advertises its food as quality, tinned soup is not quality! We did not get what we paid for at all. Never visiting this cafe again and would definately not recommend it to a friend. When i complained to a friend, they had also had a bad experience here. This is false advertisement and a rip off! Try the flower cafe instead, homemade soup at a lower price than heinz at Chimes!
