• Michelle, Tony, Ian .. errrr isn't it a bit too obvious that you've been put up to this ?? go on .. be honest .. you're only kidding yourselves . We gave our honest opinion, they were truly awful on the day, we too went on a recommendation from friends, they were shocked as well when we told them what we thought !!! we won't be going back for more, and yes we did travel quite a long way ( from Wakefield ) to try them.

• No idea what last review is talking about. We have been coming here for 4 years and have never had a bad fish and chips. My family love them.

• Really good quality fish and chips, was recommend to go to this chippy and travelled from Sheffield to try it out. Was not disappointed.

• Best chip shop in Barnsley by a mile. Fresh fish, and chips made at the shop from farm bought potatoes. Brill.

• Just had some for lunch today, served by a surly looking woman with dark hair who somehow managed to produce X2 fish from somewhere (but not from the ones on display in the lit heated display cabinet) that were without doubt the worst i've ever tasted and chips that were clap cold !! didn't bother to complain as most people don't, i prefer to take my custom elsewhere and will be doing, only giving one star cos we can't give none !!
