• Absolutly stunning food and excellent service. My husband and I visited The Chequers for our valentines meal and could not fault it, the lamb was delicious and the crevettes were the best I have tasted in a long time. Highly recomend.

• Had midweek lunch last Thursday. Pub very nicely re-furbished. 4 of us ordered gammon. For the price of £8-50 each the food was of poor quality. The gammon was not hot (seemed like it had beed boiled, not grilled), the chips were oven type, and the garnish was one and a half minature tomatoes. Not good value. Exellent value mid-day lunches are a vailable now, some pubs offering 2 meals of better quality for slightly more than £8-50. (Prince of Wales in Bromham offers 2 good meals, including gammon, for £9-50)
