• staff couteous and helpful,the same cannot be said of whoever effects their repairs and battery fitting. In the last year i have had two batteries fitted to two watches, no1 came back with the back badly scratched and replaced incorrectly no2 just replaced battery came back with the back replaced off centre also when i questioned this i was told the backs were replaced correctly due to a cut out for the winder. If the manufacturer sells a watch with the back correctly alleigned why cannot the shop???

• Cartouche is a wonderful local shop, this shop stocks a variety of gifts and beautiful jewellery I always manage to find what I am looking for. The shop seems to have had a refurbishment and the new layout is very refreshing. Staff are always extremely friendly and helpful greeting all the customers and asking if assistance is required. They even gift wrap my purchases free of charge to a high standard regardless of how small my purchase is nothing is too much for the staff. This shop really is a local gem I could go on and on.

• My review differs greatly from the posting from anon 4th Jan 2013. On visiting the shop I have found it refreshing to be able to browse at leisure without sales assistants breathing down my neck. However, on the occasions that I have required assistance they have been more than happy to help and have never made me feel unwelcome however small my purchase may be. Their jewelry knowledge is extensive. As for the comment on the owner eating his lunch; a man has to eat and he obviously cannot leave the shop unattended.

• Beautiful shop, selling an assortment of goods jewellery, watches, ornaments, picture frames, handbags etc. only problem I have with it is the staff always make me feel I am an inconvenience to them. The owner is often to be found sitting at the front of the shop amidst all the beautiful things eating his lunch! I find this very rude! It definite puts me off of shopping there!
