  • 1 star reviewI had a meal at this pub and can sadly say I was not impressed with the results at all. The staff were all amazing and very friendly however the meals sadly represented an every day primary school dinner. We waited a good 45 minutes for our meal and was looking forward to it however was extremely let down when they arrived. Our meals either looked over cooked with cold plates or was not really presentable for a proper pub meal. The meat was not cooked very well it was like chewing a big chunk of rubber. I could honestly say I could of cooked any of our meals in 20 minutes and have a much more well presented meal. Also the punters are not afraid to hide away when taking drugs in the toilets probably to compensate for their meals. I'm so sorry the staff are amazing but you need a better chef.

  • 4 star reviewBev and Phil have recently taken over The Butchers Arms and the pub has been tastefully refurbished. The atmosphere was really welcoming and the hosts Bev and Phil are really friendly. They have entertainment on every Saturday night. Bev and Phil are trying to get this pub up and running again so please call in for a drink and a chat they will welcome you all.

  • 4 star reviewWe went as a family for my partners birthday in September .We arrived to find a freindly welcomeand service was spot on .The food was spot on aswell not 1 complaint which was a little strange cos theres always somthing to winge about . Just like to say that i disagree with review 1 as we were all happy with the service and standard of food.

  • 1 star reviewwent here on 25/07/11 for a meal for our anniversary after seeing it advertised in Profile magazine. We ordered cheesy garlic bread which was cold and undercooked. our mains were 2 sirloin steaks which we could not cut even with a steak knife and when we did have a piece it was so tough we could not chew it!!!! This was never sirloin it was more like stewing steak. the overall presentation was also poor and we left most of the steak.I told the waitress about how disappointed we had been but she just said sorry and disappeared. Unfortunately we paid full price for the meal with hindsight we should have only paid for what was edible. This spoilt the evening for us and consequently we shall not be returning and will be telling others to stay away also.
