• All reviews out of date. Currently the new ownership has brought about a complete revolution and staff and shop and stock are BRILLIANT!really sets the standard for Wendover and the area. Outshines Waitrose and all others!

• Have just left the Wendover store, fuming. I was with several customers at the till when a young 'manager-type' person 10feet away bawled at the lad on the till, something about news papers. The lad stopped serving to pay attention to the manager-type. What ever happened to coming over quietly and saying 'Excuse me please, I'm sorry but I do need to speak to the staff urgently'. It was as if customers weren't there and didn't matter anyway. This is poor customer service and down right rude. Waitrose here I come.

• The recent store refit has improved this store a great deal and the products on offer are better making it more of an alternative to say a large shop at tesco. However the customer service is still appalling. There are some "old school" employees who still are completely rude and unhelpful, not even offering to assist with packing when there are lots of items, often chatting with other staff or generally being very slow. Therefore the customer experience is usually very poor. Checkout assistants also seem to take an age to come to the till when called if the checkout becomes busy and long queues develop. You are often expected to take a trolly load of stuff and load it onto a till that is meant just for a few items - really irritating. My verdict - better layout and products - get some new staff or provide some customer service training

• Budgens Wendover - 12.12.13 Placed my shopping on the checkout band, under the eye of the checkout woman, while she chatted with a colleague - and she then told me her checkout was closed!. She watched me deposit my purchases and waited until they were all out of the basket! The next checkout - the other chatterer - was also closed so I gathered my stuff and went round to the Kiosk check out - only to be told by the woman there that she was just closing. At that point I dumped the groceries and left the store. Woeful management and slovenly uncaring staff.

• this is a wonderful little supermarket. A really good range of products and good fruit and veg, good bakery. I have found things that i cannot get at larger supermarkets, such as polenta

• Your Cropwell Bishop Cheese was very poor, and I would like to shope with you but overall you do not live up to Tesco standards
